With her analysis, Esther Earbin Sandlin will offer a high-level, forward-looking exploration of what it means to be Black in the United States in 2026. Blending cultural insight with social commentary, the talk highlights the extraordinary global influence of Black American creativity, the enduring pursuit of equality, and the evolving political landscape that shapes opportunity and belonging. Designed for an international audience, it connects the Black American experience with broader global conversations about justice, identity, and resilience, inviting attendees to reflect on shared histories and imagine more equitable futures across borders.

Esther Earbin Sandlin is a lawyer with a career focused on corporate law, intellectual property, and space law, currently serving as the Associate General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis. She also holds an adjunct professorship teaching Space Law at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
